Fall is Coming - Happy September!

I cannot believe the best stretch of the year has officially begun! September through January is my favorite time of the year. Summer is awesome, sure; but how amazing is Autumn? In honor of the fast approaching days of Fall, I created a list of what I'm most excited about this next season.  I am literally counting down the days until it is officially Autumn (September 23...) so this list is what I will be day dreaming about for the next few weeks!

I'm excited for the leaves to change colors. I love the bright reds, the golden yellows and the dark plums that fill the skies.  How did God come up with that? That even is the dormancy of trees and death of leaves, there is beauty and majesty among nature.

I am patiently waiting for bonfires with my friends.  From smores to hotdogs roasted on sticks, there are so many great things about bonfires.

Live music from my friends is always something I look forward to in the cooler months.  Everyone's farm work slows down which allows them extra time to practice and play, in turn, allowing us time to enjoy the music.

Bike riding hits its peak in Autumn and I am already planning a biking and camping trip for October!

For some reason, I always love running in the Fall. The past two years I had the opportunity to run two half marathons and my favorite part was the early, Saturday morning runs we partook in during training, when the smell of Fall filled my lungs. There's nothing like it.

I'm not sure why, but The Farmer and I binge watch movies like Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings in the Fall...again, I'm not sure why, but I'm definitely looking forward to it.

Walking to class in the fall is THE BEST THING EVER. Okay, I totally just freaked out and typed in all caps, but for real. For one, it's not below freezing and my hands aren't numb on the way to class and 2. it's not 100 degrees and 100% humid while I'm on my way to class so there's that.

The fact that Fall is coming means that it's almost time for me to piece another quilt...bring on the fabric shopping!

The farmer's market is better in the Fall - there's pumpkins for sale, the air is cool and refreshing and we get a chance to sell our mums.

Our Sunday school class trip to Garden of the Gods in Illinois is one of my most anticipated events in the Fall!

The Farmer's birthday! He'll be feeling 22 this year.

I can whip out my LL Bean boots and wear them all day, everyday.
