Summer is coming. As soon as the sun came out, I started craving fruit and vegetables again. It's crazy how pretty days can do that to you. One of my favorite ways to enjoy fruit is by making a smoothie. I've been trying to find the perfect smoothie combination ever since I started making smoothies about a year ago. Normally, I just throw in fruits, spinach, nuts and water but I wanted something sweeter. I wanted something that could be used as a desert and something that wasn't super thick. (Side note: I am really turned off/on by textures in food. I can't eat scrambled eggs at all [except on rare occasions] because their texture freaks me out, I can't handle brussel sprouts because of their slimy, lettuce like texture and I can't make myself eat chunky smoothies.) Thankfully, I came up with this recipe and it's the perfect flavor for a desert and it's the perfect thickness!
I N G R E D I E N T S - 1 Serving
1 C milk of choice (I used normal milk from a cow)
3/4 C strawberries
3/4 of a banana
I N S T R U C T I O N S
1. Add all ingredients to your blender (I use a Nutribullet, it's pretty good!) and mix until all of the banana is completely mixed and the smoothie is a light pink color.
2. Pour into a cup (or drink as is) and make it look cute.
3. Drink and enjoy.
