2 years ago, on February 16, 2013, my blog, Novelties and Trinkets, began. There have been times of triumph and giddiness as I published a post, but there have also been times of doubt and defeat. I can't put my finger on it, but so much has changed in these last two years, both in my life and my blog's life. I've grown and deepened in many ways through this blog and I look back with nostalgia at Novelties and Trinkets' humble beginnings.
I miss the days when I would write about what I did over the weekend or when I would pour out my heart in a recipe post. I miss the innocence of just blogging with no goals. This year I've had many opportunities to expand my blog and create a business from it. I love the business side of blogging, but sometimes it's just too much. My goal for my third year of writing Novelties and Trinkets is not to gain more readership or come up with the most stimulating content, but it will be to get back to the root of why I started blogging in the first place. I want to embrace pouring out my heart in a recipe post and sharing lovely stories from my weekends with you all again. I want to adorn this space with delightful words and stories of thrift store adventures and days spent with friends. I'm ready to drop the burden of growing and just enjoy the being.
In honor of this rejuvenation I compiled a list of my favorite blog posts I've ever written. These may not have been the most viewed or liked, but these were the ones I felt most like myself while writing.

The third year of Novelties and Trinkets has begun, and I'm eager to see what it will bring and where I will draw inspiration from. Thanks for reading and being with me every step of the way!
