I am a lover of literature. I love discovering new books, and I really love discovering old ones. This series on Novelties and Trinkets is really a challenge to myself to read, at the very least, one book a month. This challenge takes me beyond just reading, to really dissecting the meaning behind the words.
This book of the month isn't a work of fiction, it's a cookbook/health book. I am so in love with this book and I hope it inspires you to check it out as well!
Clean Eats is written by Alejandro Junger. Junger is an M.D. who studied medicine at New York University Downtown Hospital, completed his fellowship at Lenox Hospital in New York City and then went on to study eastern medicine in India after he completed his schooling. The book was also contributed to by Frank Giglio who is a graduate of the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and graduated as a chef from the New England Culinary Institute.
Needless to say, this book is full of great information and recipes from two very smart people. I've grown interested in clean eating over the past few years and this book has made it incredibly easy to jump on the band wagon. The recipes are...don't hate me for saying it...better than anything you will ever find on Pinterest, ever. I know, I said it. It had to be said. The recipes are full of flavor and they actually sound appetizing and not like rabbit food as opposed to most clean/paleo/whole food recipes.
The book includes over 200 recipes that are all healthy and it even includes a few different cleansing plans to try out while using the recipes in the book. I just love this book and I want you to love it, too! I give this book a thumbs up and I implore you to buy a copy for yourself.
