Summer break is off to a great start and so far it's been a nice mixture of spending time with my friends and working hard with my husband. The greenhouse is finally winding down and we are only days away from ending that part of the year; and just as quick as this part is ending, another is quickly beginning: tobacco. This past Saturday, we spent the day setting tobacco, and once it's set, the craziness doesn't stop until December. Not only have I been selling our lovely plants and flowers and setting tobacco, I've also been helping my friend sell her strawberries. This time of the year is the best and craziest time of all. I have made so many memories that I will truly cherish and it's not even June yet.
As I take a step back and look at my life right now, I couldn't be more satisfied. God has truly been showing Himself through the different facets of my life and as I sit back and watch Him work, I'm amazed that this is what He had planned for me during this season of life. He's given me friends (that are basically family), he's given me family I can count on, he's given me a job I am passionate about, in a career field that is all about relying on God (farming), and he's given me a husband to share and experience it all with. Right now, I'm in a good place. I have no doubt that hard times and trials are coming, they will always be coming; but I'm not scared because I know that just as my God has been faithful during these good days, he will also be faithful during the bad that are coming.
I'm going to enjoy the calm before the storm.
