You're probably sick of hearing about the dinner party but too bad. Today I'm sharing the roast recipe I made for the food portion of our evening and you will not be sick of hearing about this for sure:
I N G R E D I E N T S
1 package of Au Jus seasoning
1 can of carrots (I'm not sure what size I usually use so use as much as you like; the carrots become a side of their own)
1 small onion
** I normally put in red skinned potatoes but my mom made mashed potatoes for the party so I didn't want to overload on the starchy sides and skipped that ingredient. The best part of a roast is that you get an entree and two sides (potatoes and carrots) for barely any prep at all!
I N S T R U C T I O N S
1. Clean out your crock pot and place the roast inside.
2. Pour in the au jus seasoning followed by pouring in the carrots (and potatoes if you would like). If the carrots and their juice do not cover the roast, add water until the roast is fully covered.
3. Cook on high in your crockpot for 4-6 hours and serve.
I made two roasts for my dinner so I just doubled the recipe! Also, I did not get a picture of the roast because it was just too good...
